Try as he might, Foyle finds it difficult to be exasperated with Sam.

Still love the eye-roll!

Deserve victory! on Flickr.

A bit of oh-so-Forties ghastly green from bev's repertoire sets off Winnie's features while it sets our teeth on edge. But, true to period, Sam's wardrobe  in Foyle’s War Series 8 positively drowns in the colour. Observe:

Agree about Sam’s hat…I WANT!

Not so much bouncing today, as it is creeping down the stairs. The budgie has made a nice, cozy nest in denim today.

As opposed to that scratchy wool yesterday…

tayryn said: Thank you! You’ve just sparked another Kitchen!Tanner/M fic! I don’t need any new ideas. Sheesh! On another note, he wears the jeans well.

Well, erm…my pleasure? LOL Hope it’s a good one!

Indeed, those jeans were made for him.

{Thank you to abjectadmirer for lightening these gifs so that we could better view our prey the budgie.}

Many thanks to VT for these awe inspiring gifs, and to AA for shedding some light on them! That particular scene was a bit too dark to see MK in all his glory.

His adorable bow-legged walk down those stairs has long been a favorite of mine, as the thinness of my DVD at that particular spot would reveal. Now I can just sit and admire as long as I like!

Thanks for including in the gif the bit where he grabs his bum…a particular favorite of mine…perverse, aren’t I?

I walk into a room full of sturdy, mahogany furniture, my mind filled with nothing in particular. A man in a dark blue suit is standing in the room. He turns as I enter, a crooked smile lighting up his brilliant blue eyes. One hand is stuffed into an ample pocket, the other, its nimble fingers flexing gently. Posing as if for a photo, he pauses, his eyebrows raised in a silent question. Suddenly, I raise my right hand and start frantically blowing on my thumb. He rolls his lovely eyes and looks away in embarrassment.

What this devastatingly handsome man doesn’t realize, is that my action is the only thing that will keep me from fainting in his presence.

"This is my driver, Sam Stewart."

Clearly, when Carlo slaps him on the shoulder, Foyle reacts with a definite ‘yep, I’ve got myself a very pretty girl here’ sort of face. Do you think he *might* have, at first, thought of the possibility? Before Tony barged in and ruined the evening? Discuss!

As dancesabove and I often say: Bear. Pope.
Bear. Pope.

(i.e. ‘does the big bear…?’ / ‘is the Pope…?’)

He wasn’t too sure about inviting Sam to join him, but he so tolerant of her, he couldn’t say no. I think he enjoyed the dinner.

Ghost Story is an interesting movie. First time I ever saw full frontal male nudity in a film (nope, not Fred).  It’s a horror film about four old guys who meet and scare the hell out of each other with frightening stories, but the real terror lies in the fact that they all did something very, very bad when they were young. And does it ever come back to haunt them (in the form of Alice Krige). There’s also a startling sex scene in it; we forget how far the R rating got pushed in the 1980s…

Nicolas Farrell also appears in an episode of Foyle: The Funk Hole, where his character, Chief Inspector Collier, attempts to frame Foyle and spontaneously sacks Sam.

Next candidate for Six Degrees of Michael Kitchen is wolseley37: Michael J. Fox!
I tag wolseley37.

MK tyin’ up his white tie, dancin’ in his tails ;o) x

Oh, Ghost Story sounds like and interesting movie.

I think MK could give Fred a run for his money in the ability to look great in a tux!

abjectadmirer:

Heh. *Aye thang yew*

[The challenge]

I’m naming FRED ASTAIRE for the next “Six Degrees”> and tagging @dancesabove. ;o)

Ho! Good one!

Peasants my foot. We are good observational fodder for his next lustful role :o)image

Oh, he’s pleased he can generate such…um…passion (?)…among his followers.

No need to panic!

…if you can’t open Quietly Enigmatic Forum at the moment. Just sticking a few more nickels in the slot to start up the mechanism again. Good old Canadian nickels, with beavers and the Queen on ‘em.

Hey! Mind your language. Less of the wildlife in the same sentence as Her Maj, thank you very much.
